Greetings everyone on DA! This is a brand new group account, designed to bring awareness to the major disease called cancer. Here are some astounding facts on cancer for just the United States alone (sorry am working on tracking down other information for other countries)
Did you know that:
Breast Cancer is one of the most common type of cancer in the United States at an estimated 210,820 cases
just this year alone
Cancer Estimates for the year 2007 say that nearly 1.5 million Americans alone will develop some form of cancer. These are new cases.

So you ask, "What can we do about this?" Well besides supporting as many of the fund raisers for cancer that you can (i.e. Relay For Life, Race For The Cure, ect.) you can join the group here on dA.
